FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

POLIDORI MEAT PROCESSORS

CELEBRATES 80 YEARS!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 1, 2005, DENVER, COLORADO - Though it only takes 4 people an hour to make 2000 pounds of Italian sausage; it has taken 4 generations of one family to turn a neighborhood sausage shop into a well-known Denver Institution. Polidori Meat Processors is celebrating 80 years!

Polidori’s History
1925: Anna Polidori and her husband open Polidori’s Grocery and Meat Market in North Denver. It was at the store where Anna cooked up her famous Italian sausage recipe, brought over from her native Italy.

1945: Sons Louis and Augie Polidori take over the grocery store. For the next 37 years the two would grow the sausage business to a successful industry.

1982: Anna passes away and the sons sell Polidori’s Grocery. Louis Polidori moves the Meat Processing plant across the street to its current location at 3327 Tejon Street in Denver.

1992: Steve Polidori, great grandson to Anna, joins the business and brings fresh ideas for automating the processing, allowing the business to run more efficiently.

2002: Steve Polidori takes over ownership of Polidori Meat Processors, Inc. from his grandfather, Louis.

2003: With the business growing, Melodie Polidori Harris, great granddaughter to Anna, joins the company and brings new insight into small business and marketing.

2004: The brother and sister team of Steve and Melodie continue to bring in several new customers. Polidori products and sales increase 20%. Their grandfather, Louis Polidori continues to visit the business to ensure the integrity of the family name and product.

2005: Polidori Meat Processors, Inc. celebrates its 80th year in business!

They say "the more things change, the more they stay the same." The processing equipment is now high tech but Polidori’s recipe for sausage has been consistent for generations. The Italian sausage still maintains the same high standards of ingredients that have made this product successful for 80 years!

In addition to Italian sausage, Polidori offers all pork Chorizo, multiple pork sausages and their heirloom meatballs. They also make proprietary sausage recipes for a number of restaurants in town. All of Polidori’s products are made with the finest cuts of pork and a carefully selected blend of spices. Polidori prides itself on the fact that their products contain no MSG, and no added colors or preservatives.

Though Polidori products are very well know in the restaurant industry, their Italian Sausage and Chorizo are now available to the general public through many King Soopers stores, putting Polidori on the culinary map. Come sample a Denver Tradition today!
